Ingot's Dam & Tail Female Family In addition to his excellent sire, Ingot's dam CATINCA is herself of the highest calibre in terms of race record, damsire (STORM CAT) and female family. She is a G1 SW with a number of very impressive accomplishments such as winning the Ruffian and the Bed O'Roses Breeders' Cup. Out of Ingot's first 4 dams, all were successful runners and 3 were SWs (including G1 & G2 wins). This consistent high quality generation after generation is something not many stallions can boast and lends itself favourably to Ingot's potential as a successful sire. Race Career Overview As a $300,000US yearling, Ingot went on to train under leading and Champion Trainer Todd Pletcher. Ingot demonstrated his speed ability with a debut win at Belmont by 3 1/2 lengths. He went on to win at the allowance level at Churchill Downs and placed at both Saratoga and Keeneland. Ingot was 2nd to eventual Breeders Cup Sprint (G1) winner SILVER TRAIN going 6 furlongs at Belmont. He went off the favorite in 8 of his 9 lifetime starts, had a recorded bullet work at Churchill Downs and was in the money 67% of times. Ingot has 2 wins, 4 seconds and earnings of $83,886US. |
